The 100-liter Drum Filter, Model 80-4, made of 304 or 316 stainless steel, is one of the smallest drums in the 80-frame family. It allows the installation of four mesh panels measuring 120 by 40 cm, with various mesh sizes. We recommend using mesh sizes from 40 to 120 microns for aquaculture applications. The choice of mesh can be adjusted based on the weight of the fish or the type of aquatic species being cultured. For example, if you intend to raise fry under 10 grams or shrimp in your farm, you can use 40-micron mesh. For medium-sized species, 60- and 80-micron mesh are suitable, while for larger or market-size species, 100- and 120-micron mesh are highly recommended. The meshes used in this 100-liter drum filter are made from two materials: polyester for brackish and saltwater, and stainless steel for standard freshwater conditions.
Equipped with easy-open nozzles for simpler service and maintenance, as well as bearings that require no lubrication or plating, which are cooled and lubricated with only a small flow of water. For this reason, the service life of the bearings is significantly longer compared to similar models, while reducing the device’s maintenance requirements. This unit can be supplied with either a European gear motor or an Iranian worm gear motor, and all units come equipped with a backwash pump and backwash filter to minimize the need for nozzle maintenance.
